This course is open to BCCMA members and non members alike who are  18 years or older  who have some coaching experience and are looking to develop their skills further or for assistant coaches to progress from assistant coach to coach. It is expected that participants have completed at least 3 years martial arts practice and are teaching or are ready to teach on their own and unsupervised.  Please note that course places must be booked on the system in advance, places will not be available on the day.

This course starts at 12 o’clock midday  and will end around 6.30pm

The Level 2 National Governing Body (NGB) training course is designed for those who have some coaching experience and are looking to develop their skills further and for assistant coaches to progress from assistant coach to coach. It is expected that participants have completed at least 3 years martial arts practice. The course covers the legal requirements of coaching, the health and safety implications and your ‘duty of care’ to your participants and any other you allow in the training environment.

Coaching Plans and People Development
Planning coaching sessions for beginners, intermediate level and elite athletes
Conducting Coaching Session (Afternoon session is more practical, with each candidate invited to instruct a short session training; loose clothing of track suit is advisable.)
Pen and Paper for personal notes, course notes will be provided when you book onto the course and if successful, a certificate will be email to the address you used to book your place on the course.

Loose clothing for the afternoon practical session as you will be required to teach and participate in short class sessions. (Depending upon numbers from 1&1/2 – 2 hours)
